How to organize a photo shoot
First, as a photographer, you need to negotiate with the kindergarten management about the upcoming photo shoot. Parents should be notified in advance, at least 2 weeks before the appointed date. In the process of taking pictures
Older children behave almost always well. Sit calmly and look at the lens. But the kids, as a rule, begin to act up, to spin. Many simply fear the unfamiliar uncle / aunt and refuse to pose. If you take pictures of the group your child goes to, then such situations usually do not happen. Children know you and pose with pleasure.
But still, there are such pranksters who refuse to obey. In such a situation, a plush assistant will come to your aid. Introduce the children to him and pretend as if it was he who would be shooting them now. The children will immediately die down and begin to smile at your assistant. Remember that you must find a common language with the children. Only in this way you can get really good and interesting shots.
After the general photo, you need to photograph each child individually. If you did not bring a background with you, it does not matter. Find in the group one interesting, well-lit corner with an interesting background. It can be a wall with children's drawings or even a pool with plastic balls. If you did not find a suitable background for shooting a separate portrait, then photograph the child at the maximum open aperture (f2 - f4). Thus, the baby's face will be clearly in focus, and the unsightly background is blurred. 
Try to make as many diverse frames as possible. The kid should not just sit and look into your lens. Talk to him. Ask him to tell you about his pet. The kid will think or start animatedly telling you about something very important. And then catch interesting shots!

Children do not like bright flash. They begin to squint, turn away, scratch their eyes. Therefore, try to shoot individual portraits near the window. Natural light from the window will evenly illuminate the face of the child. Try to photograph children at eye level to get proportional figures in the photograph, not distortion. 
It is not necessary to sit on a chair of each child individually. Give them complete freedom! Let them play, draw, do their own thing, and you photograph them at this time. It is for this that we need a fast zoom lens. Do not leave the group even when the children are going for a walk, having lunch or doing exercises in the gym. Accompany the children on a walk. During walks and physical education, you can shoot informal group portraits. Parents value these pictures most of all. 
You can also capture children with a teacher. For example, the teacher shows the children how to draw a picture, blind an elephant, soothes a tearful child, etc.
