The first, most important rule is to exclude any satin fabric in the baby’s wardrobe: from the bonnet to the envelope. Second, nothing was invented better than a square blanket for all centuries. The blanket should not be thick so that it folds easily at least three times. For example, bike, fleece, terry, but exclude cotton. The lack of thickness of the blankets is easily offset by diapers. This will require not so much: natural light, preparing the place, good mood and a little patience. The best age for shooting is the first week after discharge. Usually from 5-12 days, the sooner you take off, the better, since at a young age the baby does not bother the tummy, it folds well in all the postures and the baby’s sleep period is still large enough to be in time. You will need to choose a suitable place for shooting - the bed that stands near the window is best for this.

Look where the light falls and start preparing. Roll up a thick towel and make a circle out of it, cover this circle with 2 layers of soft knitted fabric and lay on top of the fabric the background on which you will be shooting - this can be any beautiful cover in your home, straighten the background and try to fix the back so that on there were creases. Then wait until the baby falls asleep. When the baby is fast asleep, try to put it with your head to the window and on the tummy so that the head and legs fall on a towel from a towel, while under the head put something else so that it is higher, and fold the legs, as shown in the photo ".

When shooting portraits, position yourself either standing above the baby or on the side (for example, on a stool), but so that the camera is above the model’s head. Take as many frames as possible, it is during such a shooting that you can catch amazing emotions.

Often, free baby handles interfere with making a quality portrait. Swaddle the baby - this will simplify the task. When shooting a portrait, place the baby perpendicular to the window, with its crown towards the light. So the picture will look more natural and voluminous. Try to catch glare in your eyes. Use accessories: hats, bows, swaddle in beautiful plaids. Before you start shooting a sleeping baby, feed him. Heat the room so that the baby sleeps soundly and calmly.
